Design and typeset a long-form feature essay by writer Matthew Zhao for Collective Magazine, Issue 18, then adapt the artwork into Instagram posts to promote the issue ahead of release.
A blackletter-inspired custom title treatment opens the piece, carried through the spreads with a recurring cross-stitched horse motif and shifting gradient fields that pace the reading rhythm across the run. The title and closing-spread artwork were then cropped and resized to hold up as standalone square posts.

Design the cover and feature spreads for Issue Seventeen, including the illustrated short story “Conoscerà,” written by Gianna Casanova.
A pixel-stitched display face and striped colorfield set the cover's tone; the interior spread pairs a jagged pop-art burst with halftone texture and the same cross-stitch horse motif carried through the issue.

A personal typography study: turn my own name, Clare Heemin Nam, into an abstract, eye-catching graphic mark.
Researched and sketched the name across several graffiti and bubble-letter font styles, pushing how far individual letterforms could interlock and overlap before the piece reads as one abstract shape rather than legible text.
